"Paul Hefley to the rescue!"
We met with Paul for a consultation as our school was using passing grades and not classroom behavior as the false measure to establish an IEP. After the initial consultation, it was clear that this was an attempt to discourage families from receiving help in which they are legally entitled.
We provided Paul with a lot of emails, school and doctors' documents, and details on discussions between our family and the school not knowing what to expect or how to proceed. Paul carefully weaved through the materials and saw that we had a strong case against the district.
There are so many variables in these cases and we were so grateful that Paul was able to help us navigate the process and find a resolution that seemed impossible when fighting a bureaucracy alone.
